What we cover

Onsen Route compares three Hakone stays for choosing a private hot-spring room and arriving without a car. This is a small shortlist, not a complete market survey or a ranked “best hotels” list.

Research method

Hotel-operated pages are the sources for bath type, room category and arrival information. Every property page links its sources and check date. We have not stayed at these properties to prepare this site. We do not invent personal experience, review scores or photographs of rooms.

Room plans, prices, policies and transport can change. Confirm the intended booking with the hotel or seller.
