Site measurement

After public launch, we count landing events, page views and booking-link clicks by date, page, property and broad traffic source. For our labelled Pinterest and WordPress pilot posts, we also count the assigned platform, medium, campaign and post labels separately. Only the six approved label combinations are accepted; arbitrary URL parameters are discarded. We also count approximate article-assisted clicks separately. These are events, not unique visitors or confirmed bookings. The application does not save IP addresses, full referrer URLs, URL queries, visitor identifiers or tracking cookies for this measurement.

Your browser’s session storage remembers a broad source label, an approved pilot label combination and the most recent guide path with timestamps. The source and pilot labels expire after 30 minutes and are reset on a new outside or tagged entry. The guide label is used for approximate attribution for up to 30 minutes while you move between pages and is reset on a new outside entry. No visitor ID is created. Owner visits, common crawler user agents and pre-launch use are excluded. Measurement is approximate; it cannot identify every bot or prove a click became a booking. Hosting and access services may process connection information to deliver and secure the site.

External sites

Expedia and hotel links open another service. Its privacy policy, cookies, booking terms and payment handling apply there. Affiliate links may use that service’s attribution mechanisms.

Optional videos

Official films are hosted on YouTube. No YouTube iframe or thumbnail connects before you choose to load a film. Loading the privacy-enhanced player connects to YouTube and its associated services, whose privacy policy applies. You can instead open the official source or YouTube link.

Owner workspace and editorial tools

Only the configured owner can access saved links, monthly financial records, aggregate counts and unpublished article drafts. This uses ChatGPT sign-in. Editorial tools preserve the last published article until a new revision is reviewed and published. This site does not collect visitor booking details or payment-card information.
